Abuakwa Division, Kumasi
A school that has always believed the ability to read and write well is the greatest gift you can give a child.
Golden Pen International School was established in Abuakwa, Kumasi, with a specific purpose: to build strong literacy skills from the very beginning of a child's education. The founders believed — and still believe — that everything else in education depends on whether a student can read with understanding and express themselves clearly.
Over the years, the school has grown into a full Kindergarten-to-JHS institution with a reputation in the community for small classes, dedicated teachers, and results that families can rely on.
We keep our class sizes intentionally small — around 12 students per teacher. That isn't accidental. It means every student gets seen, every question gets answered, and no child can quietly fall behind without us noticing.
Our teachers have been with us for many years. That continuity means they know the families, understand the community, and are genuinely invested in the students they teach.
